CEBU CITY: Organizers of the 10th Cebu Marathon have extended the early bird registration for the foot race until November 15.
The early bird registration was supposed to end last month, but the organizers announced they have extended it for a few more days.
The 10th Cebu Marathon is slated on Jan. 8, 2017 at the Cebu Business Park.
The runners in the 42-kilometer and 21K categories will be treated to a new route for this edition as it will bring them to the cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu.
The 42K and 21K participants will all pass the Marcelo Fernan Bridge.
The 10K and 5K course, meanwhile, will be within Cebu City.
This was the first time the event changed the route as part of the 10th year celebration of founder and one of the organizers, the Cebu Executive Runners Club (CERC).
On the previous years, the running event was held in the cities of Cebu and Talisay.
The race starts at 3 a.m. for the marathon, 4 a.m. for the half-marathon, and will be followed by 10K and 5K at 4:50 a.m. and 5 a.m.
Early bird registration fee is P1,800 for the 42K, P1,500 for the 21K, PHP900 for the 10K and PHP650 for the 5K inclusive of singlet, race bib and timing chip.
