Let the curtain rise on 2015’s first Ad Board edition:
Lea’s sense of time
WHETHER she is performing on-stage or spending time with her family, Lea Salonga has placed passion and discipline in all that she does. In the last 35 years, Lea’s portrayal such as the titular role Annie, Kim in Miss Saigon, Eponine and Fantine in Les Miserables, and the voice of Jasmine in Aladdin were infused with these two virtues.
But while being passionate in everything she does, Lea still keeps a sense of balance in her life, making her a suitable choice for the well-being watch brand, Philip Stein. It’s philosophy—helping people to improve focus, perform better, achieve balance and live with passion—is one that Lea lives by. And for the world-class artist, mother, mentor, part of living a well-balanced life is keeping track of time.
To get to know the brand better, Lea visited the Philip Stein office in Zurich, Switzerland. She met with Philip Stein president Will Stein and his wife, Rina Stein, co-founder of the brand. The Steins showed Lea the Philip Stein timepieces, sleep bracelet, and other accessories. Lea was pleasantly surprised to see the Philip Stein wall of fame—where photos of brand ambassadors all over the world, such as Oprah Winfrey, Samuel L. Jackson and herself, are displayed.
“I remember [brand president]Will Stein saying that if your body is well-balanced, you perform better, which, for me, is really important because not only am I a mentor to young kids and a performer, I am also a mother and a wife and I want every aspect to be great,” she ended.

He then became a household name af-ter his win in Pinoy Big Brother. In the competition, as well as within in the fash-ion and showbiz industry, the “Brapa-nese” model has transitioned beyond his smashing good looks, and emerged as a man of true character and substance.
With his style and character, he was chosen once again to become the face of SM Men, after he was signed in 2012 along with other top male models, Hideo Muraoka and Fabio Ide. As a modern man of style, Daniel continues to inspire the young generation to live an active and full life, while keeping up-to-date with the latest trends.
“I am very honored and very happy that once again SM trusted me to be one of their endorsers. This is already my 3rd year with them. SM is like family to me already. I am looking forward for more great projects soon and more years of working together,” Daniel said of his recent success.
FROM the hot love team that brought Ang Diary ng Panget movie to life, the young celebrities James Reid and Nadine Lustre has become style icons as well. Bringing attention to hip, comfort and style, the duo dropped by at the Bambu store to check out the latest Brazilian flip flop brand Ipanema collection, during the #IpanemaSelfeet campaign in Robinsons Ermita, Manila.

Patti’s clear, smooth skin
Television host, model and entrepreneur Patti Grandige-Herrera confessed that she was quite insecure when she entered the business. She revealed that dry skin was one of her main problems, one that she usually suffered from as she jet sets in different parts—and weather conditions—within Asia.
“I had dryness, itchiness and redness. This made me quite insecure and in the business I’m in, it’s always about first impressions. It’s amazing how one simple change in my skincare has renewed my confidence,” she shared during the launch of #FreeInMySkin movement spearheaded by leading skin care brand, Physiogel.
Her successful skin transformation led her to become the brand’s newest celebrity ambassador, to help inspire other women to follow her transformation. Patti leads the #FreeInMySkin movement, a campaign that hopes to empower women to take control of their lives and liberate themselves from insecurities.
Rico’s sweet voice
ONE to always serenade the crowd, Rico Blanco has always maintained his beautiful singing voice through proper care and practice that he’s maintained over the years. As a recording artist, the young generation looks up to him and his inspirational alternative Pinoy music.
His charisma, as well as his flourishing career in music, earned him a partnership with the century-old Valda Pastilles. This lozenge brand has helped Rico to condition his throat before a performance, a secret that he’s learned from his uncle.
“I discovered Valda through my uncle, he had to buy it regularly from the store. From the time I tried it in high school, it’s been a favorite. It’s something that really helps me out when I have throat issues,” Rico said.
To demonstrate his alluring voice and talent, Blanco wrote and sang “Time for You,” a musical piece he composed especially for the brand’s TV commercial.
What makes Anne Curtis ever so interesting in the public eye? The secret seems to lie in the way she exudes grace, strength and confidence—the ideals of a multi-faceted modern woman. These are the very traits that earned the superstar her latest product endorsement renewal from feminine care brand Lactacyd.
As a celebrity icon, concert artist, TV host and product endorser, Anne is definitely no stranger to hectic daily routines and lifestyles. But according to the 29-year-old actress, every woman can still be at her best self in the midst of countless responsibilities.
“Personally, I make sure to bring out my best in all performances, whether they are on TV, film, and even in real life. To do so, I have to be always healthy and confident, and that includes taking good care of myself so I could be consistently on top of my game and focused in everything that I do,” said Anne, who has been Lactacyd’s endorser since 2012.
Like Anne, each woman has her own beautiful personal journey whether as a doting mother, a high-flying career woman, or a young achiever. With these, they need a constant care partner to keep her fresh and clean all throughout so she can go with her everyday activities worry-free.
