Continuing to bring happier weekends to Filipino households, the all-original game show Celebrity Bluff celebrates its second anniversary this week with the very grateful hosting team of award-winning comedienne Eugene Domingo, and her hilarious “Gangnams” Isko Salvador a.k.a. Brod Pete, Boobay, and Jose Manalo.
Jose and Eugene—now teasing dubbed a love team as “JoGe”—are especially chuffed over the public’s very enthusiastic response to their tandem, considering the “pairing” wasn’t even scripted for the game show.
At a small press huddle on Wednesday, Eugene expressed how happy she is to be part of the show, and her comic love team.
“Nakakatuwa naman na kinagat ng publiko ang lahat ng ito!” she enthused. “Sinuwerte naman ako sa hindi masyadong pogi pero pumopogi every episode,” she added laughing.
Turning more serious she noted how Celebrity Bluff has not only brought laughter to many Filipinos since 2012 but also served its purpose as informative program.
“Pati sa mga schools recommended viewing ang show,” she proudly related. “Mahusay kasi yung mga kasama ko, magaling yung mga writers. And everybody is cooperative and hardworking. Because we believe in the concept and we enjoy doing it.”
For an artist who rarely watches her work Eugene confessed to watching past episodes of Celebrity Bluff on YouTube, especially when she feels a little down.
“Natatawa kasi talaga ako sa hosts and I find it interesting how I’m able to detach myself from the show and enjoy it as a viewer. That’s why, I look forward to doing it for many more years to come. Sana maging longest running game show kami, just like Eat Bulaga is longest running noon time show, or Bubble Gang is the longest running gag show.”
The intelligent host wrapped up, “Nagpapasalamat ako sa GMA na they support an original Filipino game show like this and I look forward to many more seasons of this very enjoyable experience.”
Celebrity Bluff airs every Saturday after Marian on Sabado Star Power block of GMA.
