STOCKHOLM: James Rothman and Randy Schekman of the United States and Thomas Suedhof of Germany won the Nobel Prize for Medicine on Monday for groundbreaking work on how the cell organizes its transport system.
Their discoveries have unlocked insights into diseases ranging from diabetes to immune-system disorders, the Nobel Committee said.
