The 61st Annual National Mine Safety and Environment Conference recently cited three members of the CEMEX Philippines Group of Companies for environmental excellence, health and safety practices, and community development efforts.
The Presidential Mineral Industry Environment Award (PIMEA) Committee gave Solid Cement Corp. with the Platinum Award, Apo Cement Corp. the Titanium Award and First Runner-up for the Safest Mineral Processing (Cement Category), and Apo Land and Quarry Corp. the First Runner-up for the Safest Quarry Operation under the Non-Metallic Category.
