Listed real-estate developer Century Properties is eyeing Palawan, where it has close to 100 hectares of properties, as the next location for its future developments.
Century Properties Chairman Jose E.B Antonio said during the Second Philippine Financial Forum held on Wednesday that the company has close to 100 hectares in various areas in the mainland of Palawan.
“We’re looking at principal key cities in Philippines. In resort, were looking at Palawan,” Antonio said.
“We’re doing development from ground up [in Palawan]. We have several areas,” he added.
Antonio further said that Century Properties is looking to develop an integrated resort in Palawan.
“We’re still in the planning stage and hope we will launch this last or first quarter of 2014,” he said.
According to Antonio, all of the firm’s projects in Palawan will initially be resort-oriented.
“All will be resort-oriented even if we have villas there, because that’s what Palawan is all about,” he said.
For its other projects in the area, Century Properties is currently developing three-, four- and five-star hotels.
Antonio emphasized that some of the company’s projects will be managed by branded hotels, while some will be self-managed.
