    0

THE Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) has mandated colleges and universities to ensure the welfare of their students while taking up internship abroad as it tightened the regulations governing the program. This, according to the CHEd, is to ensure that students who are undergoing on-the-job training abroad are not being exploited by foreign establishments. Based on the CHEd Memorandum Order 22 issued on July 22, colleges and universities that offered on-the-job training programs abroad are prohibited from contracting a third party that serve as a placement agency.
