CHEVROLET Phils. – The Covenant Car Co. Inc. (TCCCI) announced it sold 4,066 vehicles in the first six months of 2014—the company’s best half-year performance. Its sales in June reached 701 units, one of the highest monthly tallies for Chevrolet in the Philippines.

TCCCI said its sales grew 79 percent in the first half of the year compared to the same period in 2013, and that it has ranked seventh-best in the Philippine automotive industry as of May. In 2009, the company was in 12th position.

TCCCI credited its “turbo-diesel powerhouse team,” made up of the Chevrolet Trailblazer (the brand’s present best-seller), Colorado and Spin, for its growth. The company said it sold 2,211 Trailblazers in the first six months of the year and 868 Spins in the same semester.

“We are thankful for the steady and consistent growth of Chevrolet in the Philippines,” said TCCCI President and Managing Director Albert Arcilla. “The increase in sales this year attests that the Chevrolet brand has indeed captured a significant share of the hearts and minds of the market, and has continued to establish itself as a significant player in the local automotive industry.”

TCCCI said it has also launched campaigns and promos for its after-sales program, which include a 10,000-kilometer periodic maintenance service and a one-year Motorcar Insurance coverage for free.
