CHEVROLET Phils. announced it had achieved “unprecedented” sales in 2013 as it recorded a 52-percent growth over the previous year. The company said it delivered 5,058 vehicles in 2013, making it the country’s ninth best-seller.
It added that its results in December 2013 had “exceeded expectations” with an 84.8-percent improvement against its December 2012 performance, with 634 vehicles sold for the month. Leading the brand’s tally were the Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV and Colorado pickup.
Chevrolet Phils. noted that it had grown the number of its dealerships from 12 to 20, and projected that there will be 29 fully operational dealerships by the end of 2014.
“This is the best time to be with Chevrolet,” said Chevrolet Phils. President and Managing Director lawyer Albert Arcilla. “We have the right products, the right network, and a focused and passionate management team that will do everything to deliver on the brand’s promises.”
Chevrolet Phils.’ lineup includes the newly improved Trailblazer, which now comes with a 2.8-liter Duramax engine, the Spark mini hatch, Sonic subcompact, Cruze compact sedan, Captiva sport-ute, Orlando MPV, Colorado pickup and Suburban full-size luxury SUV. Last year, the company added the Malibu executive sedan and the Spin seven-seat AUV.
