At least one oil company on Monday announced two separate sets of price increases for Luzon and the rest of the country starting Tuesday.
Chevron Philippines said that in Luzon, which is still recovering from the onslaught of monsoon, the per-liter price of gasoline will go up by 60 centavos, diesel by 55 centavos and kerosene by 90 centavos.
In Visayas and Mindanao, the price of gasoline will go up by 20 centavos, diesel by 35 centavos and kerosene by 45 centavos.
The price increases in Luzon were higher because there already a fuel hike in the Visayas and Mindanao last August 22.
