THE National Council for Children’s Television (NCCT), an attached agency of the Department of Education, is now accepting submissions for the 7th Cinepambata Video Festival’s Short Film Competition. Short films for and about children may be submitted until September 18.
Since 2009, the National Council for Children’s Television has annually held the CinePambata Video Festival in celebration of the children’s month every October. The Festival aims to raise awareness on issues concerning children and promote positive Filipinos values among the youth by showcasing child-friendly and child-focused short films by local independent filmmakers.
The fest is open to Filipino filmmakers with video entries of 10 to 20 minutes running time and must be completed from January 2012 onwards.
Films will be awarded for Best Video, Special Jury Prize, Best Direction, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Editing and Audience Choice. Winning films will be given plaques, certificates and monetary prize.
