BEIJING: A total of 20 people sent to China by a religiously inspired charity have been detained, most of them British or South African, the organization said, adding some had been accused of watching “propaganda videos.”
Gift of the Givers, a disaster relief charity based in Pietermaritzburg in South Africa, said 20 of its as-sociates were detained Friday at Ordos airport in China’s Inner Mongolia region.
