A 50-man trade mission composed of business leaders belonging to state-led China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) visited HallONE: Design for Exports in April, as part of its itinerary for the Philippines-China Business Forum and 1st Philippines-China Trade and Investment Council Meeting held in Manila and Cebu, respectively.
“The trade mission is an implementation of the Declaration on the Establishment of the Philippines-China Trade and Investment Council between the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the CCPIT originally signed in 1998 and renewed during the visit of President Benigno Aquino 3rd to China in October 2011,” Commercial Counselor Zafrullah Masahud of the Philippine Embassy in Beijing explained.
The delegation was welcomed to HallONE by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions led by its Executive Director Rosvi Gaetos. “HallONE will definitely be given a boost by this visit of Chinese business leaders. We want them to know that we are keen in promoting foreign trade and that we have a year-round sourcing venue for local and foreign buyers that showcases the best Philippine export products aside from our local and international trade fairs,” Gaetos said.
