CHINESE PM INVITES PAKISTAN’S SHARIF TO VISIT

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Thursday invited Pakistan’s incoming Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to visit Beijing and reiterated a promise to strengthen economic ties. Sharif, whose Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) party secured a convincing victory in the May 11 general election but who has yet to take office, said it would be a “personal honor” to accept Li’s invitation.
