Chinese trader killed in Manila


A Chinese businessman was killed in an ambush on Thursday night in Manila.

Jayson Chua, 43, was reportedly on his way home from Makati City. Upon reaching F. B. Harrison Street unidentified suspects opened fire at him, killing him instantly.

Chua sustained several gunshot wounds in his head and body. About 11 empty slugs from .45-caliber pistols were recovered from the crime scene.

Relatives said the victim had been receiving death threats.Police refused to give more details so as not to derail the ongoing investigation.
