CIDG bags 46 criminals in 4 days


The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has collared 46 most-wanted persons in the past four days.

CIDG operatives caught former Commission on Audit chairman Reynaldo Villar who is a co-accused of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in the misuse of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) intelligence fund from 2007 to 2010.

The group also arrested Rogelio Fernando who is wanted for murder, violation of Section 15 of Republic Act 6425 (Dangerous Drugs Act) and estafa. Magalong said Fernando is listed in the DILG Listing of Most Wanted Person with a reward of Php 300,000.

A certain Roque Panganoron, who is wanted for murder was killed after he opted to shoot it out with police operatives about to arrest him in Maramag, Bukidnon.

Also arrested Nestor Buyu Dagongdong for two counts of murder and three counts of frustrated murder with bail of P520, 000.
