• CIDG foils robbery in Aurora following arrest of five suspects


    OPERATIVES of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) foiled an alleged robbery attempt on Wednesday last week in a remote village in Diffun town in Aurora province, a police official said over the weekend. The robbery was foiled by joint operatives of the CIDG Quirino and Diffun Municipal Police station following the arrest of five suspected robbers during a police operation on Wednesday morning in Barangay Cajel in Diffun town in Aurora. Senior Supt. Froilan Perez, the chief of CIDG unit in Cagayan Valley region, identified the five arrested suspected robbers as Victor Asebo, 42; Bernard Secretario, 36; Osias Batara, 42; Marlon Pumihic, 53 and Rolly Martinez, 50.
