Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested 15 wanted persons in separate operations conducted nationwide during the weekend, Police Director Benjamin B. Magalong, CIDG chief, reported on Monday.
Magalong said that one of the arrested persons was Jaime Bajador, No. 1 Most Wanted in Panay, Capiz. CIDG detectives captured Bajador, an accused for murder, in Barangay Adlawan, Roxas City,
Another operation resulted in the arrest of Rolan Quilan, Ronel Quilan and Rojan Del Rosario, who are all facing charges. They were apprehended in Barangay Magara, Roxas, Palawan.
In Barangay Ulayan, Villareal, Western Samar, Dan-Dan Belarde was captured by CIDG detectives from Region 4-B (Mimaropa) for robbery with homicide. The suspect is a member of the Lagos Group involved in robbery and gun-for-hire activities in the Natinal Capital Region (NCR) and Regions 3 (Central Luzon) and 4-A (Calabarzon).
Meanwhile, Abelardo Sinco, was arrested in Barangay Pug-os, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
During the arrest, the CIDG detectives recovered a .32 pistol and 100 grams of shabu. He is listed as the No. 2 Most Wanted Person in Ilocos Sur.
The other arrested persons were wanted for various offenses such as grave threats, violation of R.A. 7610 (Child Abuse Law), thefts, and bigamy.
Magalong said the massive manhunt operations were conducted in line with the directives of Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Manuel A. Roxas II to intensify anti-criminality campaign in the country. PNA
