An alleged leader of an illegal drugs syndicate and four of his henchmen, including a female cohort, were arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) on Tuesday in a remote village in Nabunturan town in Compostela Valley. CIDG Chief, Director Victor Deona, identified the arrested suspects as Roberto Barago, Adonis Alforgue, Alejandro Tagudi, Relly Boy Timogtimog and Jessica Ago. Deona said that Barago is the leader of the notorious Bobby Alfeche Drug Group operating in Compostela Valley. Seized from the suspects were 14 sachets of suspected shabu, valued at P80,000, as well as drug paraphernalia, cellular phones believed used by the group in their drug transactions, cash and several ammunitions. Meanwhile, in Davao del Norte, two other gunrunning personalities in Tagum City, identified as Masuela Oniot Jr. and Victorino Pangsian Palangan Jr., were also arrested, and guns and assorted ammunition were seized. Deona said Oniot and Palangan are with the Oniot Gunrunning Syndicate.
