LAGUNA’s No. 4 on an illegal drug watch list has surrendered to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Laguna, while a high-value target was arrested during a manhunt in South Cotabato. Chief Supt. Roel Obusan, CIDG director, said Edgardo Laviña alias ‘Egaput’ gave up on Thursday, admitting his drug dealing activities and vowed to reform. Meanwhile, Judy Cojo alias Dondon Cojo, a high-value drug target was arrested in South Cotabato by the CIDG and Banga Municipal Police Station in Sitio Lamkot, Barangay Malaya. Cojo is wanted for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and listed as No. 8 municipal level Most Wanted Person. Obusan said Cojo is a member of the “Ambalgan Group” engaged in the illegal drug trade in South Cotabato whose leader, Usmenia Ambalgan, was arrested in February 2016.
