CIDG seizes weapons cache in Bulacan


Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) operatives arrested a man on Saturday morning after a cache of firearms was found in his home in a remote village in Bulacan, reports said.

Reports at the Philippine National Police national opera–tions center in Camp Crame said Rogelio Centeno was arrested after police discovered a cache of firearms from his house at Blk 3, Lot 33, Phase H, Francisco Homes, Brgy Guijo, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

Seized from Centeno were three M4 rifles with 416 rounds of ammunition and three .45-caliber pistols with 195 rounds of ammunitions, the reports said.

Police also confiscated eight magazines for M4 rifles and a silencer for them and another eight magazines for 45 caliber Pistols were also seized.

The reports said that a case for violation of Republic Act 10591 is now being readied against Centeno who is now detained CIDG office in Bulacan.
