CIDG’s help sought on online scam

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union: Ten are overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who fell victims to online shopping scam sought the help of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in La Union to arrest the suspect. CIDG deputy director P/Supt. Richard Verceles has offered to help Elve Vendal of Davao City, caregiver in Taiwan; Angelus Garcia Cruz of Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan domestic helper in Singapore; Janlielon Angeles, Genalyn Ongee De Jesus, Maria Teresa Maurillo of Binagonan, Rizal; Carmela Alumbro of Maasin, Leyte; Lanie Arojado San Andres of Dinalupihan, Bataan who works in Kuwait; and a certain Mariedel Go. All were allegedly duped by a certain Cristy Cogay, who placed her address at 22 Barangay Lingsat this city, who offered on line shopping for their loved ones. They said Cogay could no longer be contacted after they wired payments for their online orders.
