Before the end of 2013, Filipinos are in for something big and unique in entertainment. The country’s first-ever outdoor music and movie festival, Crizal Transitions Cinemajam, will take place at on November 30 at Circuit Makati’s events ground.
On Tuesday, Essilor, the global company that owns and distributes Crizal eyeglass lenses, officially launched Cinemajam with a press conference at Aracama in Bonifacio Global City.
“We have been in the Philippines for 25 years and this is the first time we are going mainstream,” Jinky Navo, Essilor marketing manager told The Manila Times. “[This is our first event so] we want the concept to be a ‘first’.”
With this as the objective, Essilor came up with an idea of an outdoor music and movie festival that runs through broad daylight all the way to a moonlit night. Navo shared that such an activity would showcase how their line of Crizal Transitions lenses can be worn from dawn to dusk.

He added that their product is the only lens in the market that is coated with UV protection on both sides.
Festival-goers will be up for a myriad of new entertainment experiences with Cinemajam’s shifting perspectives as it kicks off with a fun afternoon fair segueing into a sunset music festival, and capped with an evening movie marathon and after-party concert.
Navo revealed the top bands, special movies, and a host of exciting activities that are in store for Cinemajam.
Two movies, Love, Actually and Limitless have been chosen to highlight Crizal Transitions’ message of “seeing life in a bright light,” offering viewers different, enlightening takes on loving and living.
