Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) recently held the second leg of a roadshow in northern Luzon as part of its program to promote the Clark airport as a premier Philippine gateway.
Emigdio Tanjuatco 3rd, CIAC president and chief executive officer, said the three-day North Philippines Clark Airport Road Show covering Rosales, Pangasinan, Laoag City, and Vigan City was conducted in partnership with Cebu Pacific Air, Smart Communications Inc., and the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 1.
“CIAC will continue its marketing campaign to raise awareness among residents in northern Philippines to take their international flights at Clark International Airport, which is more convenient for them,” Tanjuatco said.
The first leg of the Clark Airport Roadshow was held last August in Pangasinan and Baguio City.
CIAC said that the airport’s new passenger terminal building features 34 check-in counters and 24 immigration counters for seamless travel. The new facility can handle at least 5 million passengers annually.
The CIAC team involved in the road show was led by Vice President for Airport Operations Reynaldo Catacutan and Vice President for Business Development Group Darwin Cunanan.
“This is one of the many programs of CIAC to attract residents of northern Philippines to use Clark Airport for international and domestic flights,” Tanjuatco said.
Tanjuatco also expressed his gratitude for the full support of DOT Regional Director Martin Valera who extended assistance to CIAC to ensure the success of the North Philippines Clark Airport Roadshow 2014.
Valera, meanwhile, vowed to continue DOT’s support to CIAC in promoting the Clark Airport.
“We are very much impressed about the developments at Clark Airport and we are supporting it as the premier gateway of northern Philippines,” Valera said.
