LEGAZPI CITY: Classes at all levels in the province of Albay are back to normal after the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) on Sunday ordered the lifting of the suspension as typhoon “Lando” left the area and the storm signal was lowered in the province.

The PDRRMC, however, cautioned the public to remain on alert, always monitoring reports.

Dr. Cedric Daep, Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office chief, the public should be on alert and monitoring status for possible heavy rains, strong waves and other weather disturbances that would enter the Philippine area of responsibility anytime.

Daep said no untoward incident was reported in the province at the height of the typhoon.

Lando, however, affected the agricultural sector as the winds that hit the province were recorded at 60 km per hour.

The strength of the winds affected plants that were in flowering stage.

The Provincial Agriculture Service Office is expected to submit a damage assessment report on the typhoon anytime soon. PNA
