CITY OF SAN FERNANDO: Classes in several areas in Central Luzon were suspended on Friday as tropical storm Kabayan continues to bring more rains and strong winds in the region.
Governor Aurelio Umali declared the suspension of classes in all levels as well as work in government offices in Nueva Ecija as heavy rainfall continue to batter the province.
Bataan Governor Albert Garcia also announced the suspension of classes in all levels, both in public and private, in the province.
Tarlac Governor Victor Yap likewise declared the suspension of classes from elementary to high school levels in, both public and private.
Classes from pre-school to high school were also suspended in Pampanga, including Angeles City.
Localized suspension of classes, on the other hand, were declared in the provinces of Bulacan, and Zambales.
In Bulacan, the municipalities of Bocaue, Balagtas, Marilao, Pulilan, San Jose Del Monte, Pandi, Obando, San Miguel, Calumpit, Meycauayan, Norzagaray, and Plaridel declared the suspension of classes in all levels, both in public and private.
Suspension of classes from pre-elementary up to high school were declared in Malolos City, Hagonoy, Paombong, Bustos, Sta. Maria and Baliwag.
The municipality of San Rafael, on the other hand, declared the suspension of classes up to elementary level, both in public and private.
The Bulacan State University and the Centro Escolar University in Malolos City also declared suspension of classes in all levels.
In Olongapo City, Mayor Rolen Paulino announced the suspension of classes in all levels, both in public and private.
The suspension of classes up to high school, meanwhile, was declared in Subic, Zambales. PNA
