THE southwest monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon and Visayas will bring heavy rains over Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon on Friday, according to the state weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rains would prevail over the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Mindoro and Palawan.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms, said Pagasa.
Meanwhile, moderate to occasionally strong winds will blow from the southwest over the northern and western sections of Luzon, the agency added.
Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough, Pagasa said. ELSHAMAE ROBLES
