COA ASKS NBI TO STALL ONLINE CLEARANCE SYSTEM

The Commission on Audit (COA) asked the National Bureau of Investigation to stop its online application for clearance as it is allegedly “grossly defective.” State auditors uncovered the defects of the National Biometric Clearance System (NBCS), a real-time, online clearance processing system with biometric capture capability, and the payment for transaction in this system. For the NBCS, the Investigation bureau entered into contract with Realtime Data Management System Inc. to develop the online system.
