A motor boat carrying 25 passengers, including a child, that developed fuel line trouble while on sea was assisted by Coast Guard in returning safely back to Bato in Leyte, the Philippine Coast Guard reported on Friday.
Capt. Joy Cinco, skipper of the Neri Boyallen Ray, said the boat left Bato for Ubay in Bohol when its fuel line leaked, causing the engine to stop in the middle of the sea.
Cinco contacted the Coast Guard for assistance.
Coast Guard personnel loaned two motor boats and sailed to where the Neri Boyallen Ray was drifting.
Its passengers were transferred to the two boats and taken back to Bato.
