Coast Guard to recondition rescue and patrol craft


The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is allocating the sum of Php1.73 million to replace the turbo-chargers of BRP Romblon (SARV-3503), one of its rescue and patrol craft.

The turbo-chargers are located in port (left) and starboard (right) main engines of the ship.

Interested bidders must be able complete the repairs within 10 calendar days.

BRP Romblon is a 35 meter patrol craft constructed by Australian firm Tenix for the PCG in 2003.

Bidding is restricted to Filipino citizens/sole proprietorships, partnerships, or organizations with at least 60 percent interest or outstanding capital stock belonging to citizens of the Philippines, and to citizens or organizations of a country the laws or regulations of which grant similar rights or privileges to Filipino citizens, pursuant to Republic Act 5183 and subject to Commonwealth Act 138.
