When you reach for that mug in the morning, you may get more benefits than a jump-start for the day. Many people start their day with a cup of coffee or tea along with their music collection.

The cup of tea or coffee may differ in its milk content, sugar content and flavor, based on the person’s taste. It could be a cup of coffee full body, soft, smooth and mellow flavor or a cup of flavored tea.

Even today, the words for tea in almost every global language can be traced back to the Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese “cha,” or “te” in the Amoy dialect of south-eastern China.

A cup of tea soothes a troubled mind say scientists. Daily cups of tea have been linked to a reduced risk of Parkinson’s disease, liver, cancer, gallstones, and type 2 diabetes. In addition, green tea and white tea have been touted for their health benefits. The recommended about of coffee per intake is an 8-ounce cups. How many cups depends on the individual in terms of body size along with other factors. Because caffeine has been shown to raise blood pressure you must limit your intake in case you have blood pressure abnormalities. More than four cups is never recommended. Antioxidants, there is a strong suggestion that antioxidants in tea-whether it’s black, green or white, have health benefits. Antioxidants can prevent inflammation of blood vessels and it has been linked to reduced risk of cancer.

In terms of antioxidants white tea has the most, followed by green tea, black tea and coffee. Green and white tea is made from different parts of tea leaves but both are processed minimally, unlike black tea, which is fermented. It appears the process of fermentation reduces the antioxidants in the final product.

There are three types of tea classified according to the processing method: Black tea—fermented after plucking; green tea—unfermented; and semi-fermented—Oolong.

Caffeine in coffee is associated with enhanced alertness, increased productivity and concentration when you are driving, and enhanced athletic performance. In terms of caffeine; coffee has the most followed by black tea, green tea and white tea.

Because the health benefits of tea have become more recognized by the public some manufacturers are putting a small amount of it in a product and adding ingredients that are bad for you such as sugar. For example, a Snapple green tea has 46 grams of sugar equivalent to 11 cubes of sugar. That’s more than twice as much sugar that u can find in a Hershey’s chocolate bar.

Indian coffee is the most extraordinary of beverages, offering intriguing subtlety and stimulating intensity. India is the only country that grows all of its coffee under shade. Typically mild and not too acidic, these coffees possess an exotic full-bodied taste and a fine aroma. Coffee or tea? If you have a choice between coffee and tea, Katz says tea is better. But if coffee is part of your morning routine, you have nothing to worry about, so long as you drink just the right amount.
