Construction firm FF Cruz and Co. Inc. has appointed Felipe “Philip” Cruz Jr. as its new president.
“We announce this appointment at a special moment, as we embark on an expansion of FF Cruz and Co.’s construction business in infrastructure, utilities and marine works,” said Angelita Cruz, chairman of FF Cruz.
She added that, “We have put into place a solid foundation for the future and are executing Felipe Cruz’s vision to help build the country’s infrastructure requirements and utilizing renowned Filipino engineering expertise.”
Felipe takes over the position vacated by his father, Felipe Cruz, the company’s founder, who passed away earlier this year.
Felipe is an architecture graduate from the Pratt Institute New York City, and has a Master of Science degree graduate in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Columbia University also in New York City.
He is also president and founder of the Filipinas (Prefab building) Systems Inc., which is a vertical construction and mining company with an “AAA” rating.
“I am filling in big shoes and eagerly look forward to the challenge of growing FF Cruz and Co. and fulfilling my father’s dreams,” Felipe said.
FF Cruz was incorporated in 1954 with business segments in land and aerial surveying, engineering design, geotechnical services, construction, land reclamation, marine works and real estate development. The company has an “AAA” rating from the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board.
