With the slew of lifestyle shops that have opened up at the new Two Parkade building at Bonifacio Global City, its latest addition is a cozy yet modern restaurant that boasts of a wide variety of menus especially created by the late talented Chef Ed Quimson.

Naci officially opened with a grand launch on July 29, which also served as a tribute to the late master chef. Just as fitting as Naci was Chef Ed’s last consultancy before his untimely passing. The drool-worthy spread included the house specialty, the Peruvian Chicken Rice, which is a cross between paella and risotto slowly baked and filled with chunks of chicken, sautéed capsicums, Peruvian spices and topped with aioli.

Known for his expertise in rice dishes and Naci translating to rice in several languages, Chef Ed concocted several ingenious rice specialties for the restaurant, which include familiar favorites from all over the world given his signature twist like the Hainanese Chicken Rice, Shrimp Jambalaya Rice, Yakimeshi Beef Rice, Cuchifrito Rice and much more.

Naci Comfort Food further continues Chef Ed’s legacy of good food through his well-loved recipes that go beyond his rice specialties, including Beef Taco Spring rolls, Kani Mango Crunch Salad, Nadine’s Adobo Cannelloni, Peking Chicken Pizza, Grilled MahiMahi with Dill Cream Sauce, Creamy Lengua and his personal comfort food on the menu, Chef Ed’s Pork Shank just to name a few.

“Chef Ed was there from the very beginning. He was more than a culinary consultant; he understood the concept and gave his input on everything beyond the food. That’s how passionate he was. Naci wouldn’t be what it is now without him” said Nadine Nocom, one of the young owners.

“We are truly saddened with his passing but we are also motivated. Chef Ed was always generous with his knowledge and talent. We want to share all of his masterful creations with everyone,” added co-owner Natasha Villaroman.

Besides the delectable food, NACI also offers a very wide selection of desserts, which include their best seller, the Pistachio Sans rival, Chocolate Ganache Cake, Red Velvet Cupcakes, Black and White Cupcakes, Molten Lava Cake, Bread Pudding Flan, Cheesecakes, Cookies, Bars and so much more.

But those wary of calorie binging need not fret as Naci offers healthy options and even Cohen-friendly meals to choose from.

Tying everything together is the ambiance when you enter the restaurant. It’s bright and attractive but the homey accents, dim lighting and cozy jazz music give you a sense of a very posh and inviting home. A great place to bring the family, have a romantic date or simply bond with friends.
