PRICES of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) increased on Tuesday by P2.50 per kilogram or P27.50 for an 11-kilogram tank.
It was the first LPG price hike this year.
Petron Corp. raised the prices of cooking gas Fiesta and Gasul by P2.50 per kilogram and auto gas Xtend by P1.56 per liter.
Isla LPG Corp’s Solane and Total Philippines also raised their rates by P2.50 per kilogram.
Oil companies attributed the price jump to the civil war in Syria. The prices of LPG in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh also increased.
