Cordillera police taps DSWD for vulnerable sectors


BAGUIO CITY: The Philippine National Police recently tapped the expertise of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to enhance its services to the vulnerable sectors of society. The specialized course held at Camp Bado, Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, was aimed at deepening the understanding of PNP uniformed personnel in handling cases involving the marginalized sector, specifically on gender-based violence. DSWD personnel discussed topics on sexual orientation and gender identity, and indigenous women and children as vulnerable sectors.
