Expect a production of showbiz proportions when the next Miss World Philippines is chosen come December this year. This is what Miss World franchise holder Cory Quirino of CQ Global Quest Inc. foresees as she sealed a brand new partnership with veteran producer and star-maker Vic del Rosario Jr. via Viva Live Inc., after British licensor Miss World Limited granted the two entities exclusive right to run the pageant’s Philippine competition.
“The partnership with Viva has never been more timely. We need to up the stage for our Filipinas, and we need a reliable partner,” said Quirino at the official contract signing on Tuesday at Viva’s offices in Tektite Ortigas Center.
Viva is set to bring to the table its many years of experience in managing and staging events, among other capabilities. With this Quirino, as the pageant’s director, can concentrate on bringing out the best in the Filipina candidates to win one of the most coveted crowns in the international beauty pageant arena.
Quirino proudly looked back at the winners CQ Global Quest, Inc. had produced since officially staging Miss World Philippines in 2011, from Gwendoline Ruais, 2011 Miss World 1st Runner-up, all the way to Megan Young who was crowned 2013 Miss World.
With the country’s strong standing in the international tilt, the pageant director only sees more winnable years to come, especially with a seasoned production group backing the search.
“With a formidable partner like Viva on our side, Miss World Philippines will continue to fulfill its promises in a bigger way–giving a chance to all qualified and aspiring candidates to better their lives in terms of opportunity, fame and success,” Quirino ended.
Miss World 2016 will be held in December.
