Cotabato city imposes curfew on minors


COTABATO CITY: The 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew has been implemented in Cotabato City’s 37 barangays, city police chief, Supt. Danilo Reyes said. Taking a cue from Mayor Japal Guiani Jr., the reinstated city police head, said they will fully implement City Ordinance No. 2212 with the participation of city social workers. He said minors – ages 18 years old and below – will not be allowed to roam around from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. At night, the police will patrol major city and barangay streets to check on minors. For first offenders they will be allowed to go home; second and third offenders will be penalized along with their parents by doing community service.
