Cotabato police arrest Indian in shabu session

COTABATO CITY: The Surallah, South Cotabato police arrested an Indian engaged in money-lending (or 5/6) while in the act of sniffing shabu last Friday. Chief Insp. Joel Fuerte, Surallah police chief, identified the suspect as Gushan Singh, 23, a resident of Barangay Zone 3, Koronadal City. Fuerte said Singh traveled on a motorcycle from Koronadal City to Surallah where he met with a certain Eugene Lapiad of Barangay Zone 2 and were caught in a shabu session at the latter’s house. Seized from them were two sachets of shabu, improvised totter and drug paraphernalia. Meanwhile, two others were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, identified as Randy Aliperio and a 16-year-old boy in Barangay Talahik Surallah. Fuerte said Aliperio has been using the minor as “runner” to buy shabu at Barangay Ambalgan in Santo Niño town, a known illegal drug haven. The minor has been turned over to the local social welfare office while Aliperio was detained along with Singh and Lapiad.
