THE Regional Trial Court Branch 216 of Quezon City (Metro Manila) sentenced a former cashier of the QC central post office to a maximum of seven years in prison after she was found guilty of accepting P200,000 personal check representing payment for postage stamps. In a case filed by the Ombudsman, Presiding Judge Alfonso Ruiz 2nd found Ma. Cristina Orario guilty of gross negligence for accepting the personal check which turned out to be a closed account.
