• Cowboys trade for Cassel from Bills

DALLAS: The Dallas Cowboys addressed some of their injury concerns on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila) by acquiring quarterback Matt Cassel in a trade with the Buffalo Bills. The Cowboys acquired Cassel because quarterback Tony Romo was placed on the injured list with a broken left collarbone and could miss half the season. The Cowboys plan to start Brandon Weeden in Romo’s absence with Cassel serving as backup.
