Carissa Cruz-Evangelista, owner of the Beatriz Accessories, recently launched her 2014 Sumer Collection at the 59th edition of the Manila Fame, organized annually by the Department of Trade and Industry’s Center for International trade Expositions and Missions (Citem) at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Pasay City.
Cruz-Evangelista is part of the Manila Wear group led by Josie Natori. Citem and the Garments and Textile Industry Development Office (GTIDO) unveiled the finest in tropical wear collections of the country’s most prominent designers under the Manila Wear program.
For the accessories designer, she showcased her newest collection called “Viaje del Sol” that evokes the carefree, fun and colorful colors of summer. The collection features pendants in carabao horn, carabao bone, colorful semiprecious stones and silk tassels. There are also beautiful candy- colored semi precious stone in summer pinks, oranges, greens and turquoise stones set in brass dipped in 24k gold and Lucite clear cuffs.
Adorn earring in carabao horn, Philippine jade, and detachable semi-precious drops in sea of various colors, or earrings and pendants with raw titanium and rough amethyst blending elegance with a certain dangerous edge.
Finally, bring statement, acrylic clutches in bright colors with sculptural brass dipped in gold accents and available in bright green, white, black, pink and electric blue. The designer also featured her braided straw totes with tassels that are perfect for summer outings and getaways.
