Point guard Mark Cruz led Letran College to an 84-77 overtime victory over Jose Rizal University (JRU) in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Season 90 senior’s basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan City on Friday.
The veteran playmaker Cruz, who posted 26 points and five steals, blasted the JRU Heavy Bombers’ defense with back-to-back triples in the extra period to improve the Knights’ win-loss record to 4-6. Cruz notched 10 points during the overtime period.
