Customs confiscates illegal drugs in parcels

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Tuesday presented to the media seized Ecstasy and shabu that were supposed to be shipped through parcel to the Middle East and Europe. Customs District III Collector Edgar Macabeo said anti-narcotics operatives found some 53 grams of shabu inside a seat tube of knockdown bicycle parts bound for Saudi Arabia, while another 16 grams was discovered in a pair of leather shoes bound for the Netherlands. Macabeo said the seized drugs amounted to about P3 million.
