Customs seizes smuggled goods


A Chinese trader was held for questioning at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminal 1 over smuggled branded shoes, lipsticks and cigarette brand labels concealed in nine boxes she declared as used items. Bureau of Customs (BOC) intelligence officer, Col. Neil Estrella, said the misdeclared items were found in nine luggage boxes of Yang Shao Shan who arrived from Guangzhou, China on Monday. Yang was a holder of Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR), a requirement for foreign nationals staying for a certain period of time in the Philippines.
