• Dangerous drugs seized at NAIA


    SOME 81,529 caplets of Alprazolam, a drug used to treat anxiety and panic disorders, were seized by the Bureau of Customs on Tuesday. Customs District III Collector Edgar Macabeo said the shipment of Alprazolam classified as dangerous drugs, was put on alert status after it arrived on June 30 this year via Emirates Airlines flight EK332. Macabeo said Alprazolan is usually prescribed by doctors to phychiatric patients and is compared to Ativan tablets.
