At least 19 lawmakers in the House of Representatives posted perfect attendance during the three-year span of 15th Congress, including Rep. Diosdado Ignacio “Dato” Arroyo of Camarines Sur who is the son of detained former President Gloria Arroyo.
Congressman Arroyo and another 18 of his colleagues were all present in the 168 session days covering July 26, 2010 to June 6, 2013.
The younger Arroyo, the youngest among Arroyo siblings, won a fresh mandate as a Camarines Sur representative last May polls.
Aside from Mr. Arroyo, others who never missed a plenary session include: Reps. Giorgidi Aggabao of Isabela, Emmeline Aglipay of Democratic Independent Workers’ Association party-list, Assistant Majority Leader Jorge Banal of Quezon City, Leopoldo Bataoil of Pangasinan, Speaker Feliciano Belmonte, Jr. of Quezon City, Winston Castelo of Quezon City, Rachel Marguerite del Mar of Cebu, Salvio Fortuno of Camarines Sur, Roilo Golez of Parañaque, Bernadette Herrera of Bagong Henerasyon party-list, Rosendo Labadlabad of Zamboanga del Norte, Edcel Lagman of Albay, Florencio Noel of AnWaray party-list, Reena Concepcion Obillo of Una ang Pamilya party-list, Angelo Palmones of Agham party-list, Roberto Puno of Antipolo, House Deputy Majority Leader Romero Quimbo of Marikina and Rene Relampagos of Bohol.
Moreover, the 38-year-old Arroyo scion was physically present in all session days as he did not miss the session for any official business outside of Congress or for constituency work.
