• Davao mayor offers P1 million reward to catch race driver killer


    DAVAO CITY: Mayor Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday offered a P1 million reward for information leading to the arrest of the killer of international car racer Ferdinand “Enzo” Pastor. Duterte, a friend of the Pastor family, made the offer as the family of the victim continues to call for justice for the death of the 32-year-old driver. “His tragic death was not only a loss to his family and children, but it was a loss for the country as well. I want to make sure that the perpetrators of this crime are found and brought to justice,” said Duterte. A masked man shot Pastor on June 12 at the corner of Visayas Avenue and Congressional Avenue in Quezon City. The incident happened while Pastor was driving a truck that carried his race car. He was en route to Clark International Speedway for the final leg of the Asian V8 Championships. Pastor was the was the first Filipino to be invited by the Formula One Team Minardi as test car driver and landed in the top six overall in the EuroNASCAR Championships in 2013.
