Citizens who want to obtain details as to how members of Congress have been spending their Priority Assistance Development Fund (PDAF) allocations may visit the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) website at pdaf.dbm.gov.ph, House Deputy Minority Leader Arnel Ty said on Sunday.
“Actually, the particulars of all congressional PDAF releases have been available online for all to see since 2009,” said Ty, who represents the LPG Marketers’ Association (LPG-MA) in Congress.
Voters may proceed to the website and check the PDAF spending of every member of the House of Representatives and the every member of the Senate, according to Ty.
“All the records are there with respect to the PDAF releases per member of Congress from 2009 to 2013,” he said.
“The specifics include the nature of the project, the recipient, implementing unit, release date and the exact amount disbursed,” Ty added.
DBM records show that in 2012, members of the House of Representatives and the Senate received a total of P24.237 billion in PDAF releases. This year, DBM records show that members of Congress have so far received a total of P11.584 billion in PDAF releases.
