Justice Secretary Leila De Lima said on Friday she would not be pressured to reveal the list of lawmakers and officials of government who, according to Janet Lim Napoles, have benefitted from the pork barrel fund scam.
This was the reaction of De Lima amid calls from some senators and congressmen for her to reveal the list in order to erase doubt that there was “political color” in the planned testimony of Napoles.
Napoles is the alleged “brains” behind the P10-billion pork barrel and P900-million Malampaya fund scams.
According to De Lima, she would only reveal the list in the proper time and this would be when the verification in the information of the alleged “brains” of the priority development assistance fund (PDAF) scam is completed.
When she reveals the list, De Lima would like to identify which are true, credible and untrue.
De Lima said that Napoles still has to undergo some sessions for “clarificatory questioning.”
However, as of now, De Lima said that they have not yet seen any “conflict” between the testimony of Napoles and the pieces of evidence in the possession of the DOJ-National Bureau of Investigation. PNA
