• De Lima visits wake of 5-year-old drug war victim

DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan: Senator Leila de Lima on Sunday visited the wake of a five-year-old girl who was killed by an alleged drug supplierpartner of her grandfather and pledged support to the girl’s family including legal services in the prosecution of the killers. Danica Mae’s grandmother, Gemma Garcia, told reporters that the senator also gave them financial support for the girl’s burial and hospitalization expenses of her husband Maximo who is still confined at the hospital. Danica Mae and Maximo were shot several times by a lone gunman identified as Bryan Macaayao inside their house in Barangay Mayombo on August 23. De Lima stayed at Danica Mae’s wake for about 20 minutes but refused to talk with the members of the media who waited for her.
